Wake Me Up Foundation - Rimmel

WAKE ME UP!!! Hi my lovelies, as you may have gathered from the title, I'm going to be talking about my current go-to foundation at the moment, which is the 'Wake Me Up Foundation' by Rimmel. Even from a young age I would only buy foundations that were high-end due to being in quite a few shows and therefore, having to wear makeup every night and afternoon. My mum is also a makeup fanatic and she told me that it wouldn't matter where you got your foundation from as long as it was the right skin tone and that it got on with your skin.

Rimmel claims 'A light, smooth texture for natural, 100% poreless coverage instantly eliminates signs of tiredness and lifts skin from fatigue. Radiance pearls illuminate for a healthy, radiant glow. Flawless natural finish. Peptides increase elasticity so skin recovers and bounces back more quickly. SPF 15 protects.'

I have to agree. It is a light and smooth texture, yet the coverage is still brilliant. It does lighten up my face and gives it the glow that I personally like to have. The smell is so yummy, it smells like the sun cream you used to get when you were a kid? Anyone remember that? But, it just feels and smells as if it's going to be good for your skin, since there's SPF 15 in it that encourages me to purchase this foundation again.

The shade that I have is in 'True Ivory' and I believe that it's a good match for my skin. They have six shades to choose from, so various skin tones are covered with this foundation. There is also a 'Wake Me Up' Concealer too, however, I use another concealer and the combination between the two is still perfect. In boots the foundation costs £8.99 which is a really good price for what you get, I 100% recommend this foundation, especially if you're wary about changing from a high-end foundation, but this is really good and leaves you with a flawless complexion.

  1. I'm usually of the 'high end' foundation opinion but recently I've been loving the Bourjois Healthy mix serum and Maybelline dream fresh BB cream. Definitely adding this to my list!
