The Makeup | Simple Summer Look

What with the sun shining and having oily prone skin anyway, I've made a few adjustments to my everyday makeup look. When applying it I thought, why don't I show some of you cuties what I do and why! If you'd rather just watch the video, then click here. If not, then keep reading to find out my simple steps to create a simple, light look!

I used the following products:
Burts & Bees Honey Lip Balm
Manuka Doctor Blemish Cream
Collection Last Perfection Concealer - 03
Erase Paste - 01
Stay Matte Powder - Silky Beige
Real Techniques Buffing Brush
Brown Eyeshadow - Benefit Contour Eye Kit
Real Techniques Brow Brush
Urban Decay Eye Primer
Naked Palette Eyeshdaow - Toasted
Base Brush/Blending Brush - Real Techniques
Rimmel White Eyeliner
They're Real Benefit Mascara
Natural Bronzer Rimmel
2 Shades from my 'fate' blush kit
Revlon Lip Stain - Cherish Devotion
Real Techniques Contour Brush
MAC Brush

The look I created is a very simple one. The first thing I did was apply some lip balm, as well as, some blemish cream just to soothe some redness and blemish scars on the skin. Thereafter, instead of using foundation I just used concealer to cover up some spots/scars and under the eyes to make them look brighter! I didn't want to use foundation as I find that it's a bit heavy for the Summer and I'm giving my skin a break from the foundation. To set the concealer I applied some matte powder, due to my oily skin I try to keep the oily-ness at bay! As usual, I fill in my eyebrows and then apply some eye primer to my lids. I used the really lovely shade 'Toasted' from the Naked Palette as it's quite a warm, shimmery colour which is perfect for the Summer. Then I apply mascara and white eyeliner, no black eyeliner as I don't think it's fitting with the look! Then I add lots of bronzer and blusher, finishing the look with a lovely, light pink lipstick!
