The Impulse Purchase | Makeup Basics

All the encouragement I need to walk in to a Boots is...well.. anything, but when I got given a voucher which said I had £1 off on makeup if I spent £5, I practically ran in to the store. I didn't realise until I walked out of the store, that I'd pretty much bought products which were all to do with the basics or the base. Despite that, I am so excited about trying these items, two of which I've never tried and so, reviews on those will be up soon I'm sure. But, let me share with you what I naughtily bought.

Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation -  I don't use Revlon that much, I've only ventured in to their lip products which I do like, but other than that I don't really have a good look. But, you know when you're just in the mood to buy and try a new foundation, well.. that was me on that day. I remembered Suzie talking about this foundation and she has beautiful skin, so I thought I'd give it a go. I was really impressed that it had ten shades to choose from, I went for 'Nude' and whilst testing it, I was a bit annoyed that there wasn't a pump, but hey ho, the shade seemed to be alright, but we'll see how I get on. It was £8.99 which I thought was pretty good for a drugstore foundation.

Bourjois Happy Light Matte Serum Primer -  I have never tried a primer before, I didn't think I'd need one really, but I'm curious to see if it'll make a difference. The one I opted for was this bourjois one, due to the fact that it said it was good for normal to combination skin and the word 'matte' was on it, so it seemed promising. It was £10.99 which was quite pricey for drugstore, but I didn't know if it was pricey for a primer, so my mind was just boggled. They have another primer but I chose this one as it says that it refines pores.. oooh.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in '02' - I swear this is sold out everywhere, I had to go to two Boots stores and one Superdrug to find one. I've already got this concealer in the shade '03', but it appears to be a tan warmer than my skin tone, so I thought I'd give the lighter one a go. I managed to find it right at the back all nice and pretty, I forgot what the packaging had looked like, considering my one had all rubbed off. The concealer was £4.19 and I'm happy to pay that price for it, however, I was super close to purchasing the NARS Creamy Concealer today, but I restrained myself after reminding myself that I'm going to DisneyLand Paris in TWO DAYS!!

I have to say.. I'm beginning to like this whole impulse purchase thing.. I guess I have to do it more often *chuckles*.
