The Skincare | yesto cucumbers: Soothing Eye Gel

I've only recently started using eye creams and I still haven't found my holy grail product, apart from the 'Creme De La Mer' one and I can't afford that being a student, but my step-mum who's not my step-mum, gave me this one to try out. She'd only used a little bit and then gave it to me. I'd never heard of this brand before and so I was keen to try this one out as my sample of the 'Creme De La Mer' had run out.

The brand states 'Yes To Cucumbers Soothing Eye Gel gently calms, soothes and smoothes your radiant eyes. Naturally reducing puffiness, brightening dark circles, tightening and cooling your skin, it will leave you bright-eyed, bushy-tailed and ready to take on the world!'. I definitely agree that this eye gel soothes the under-eye area and does reduce puffiness, as it very cooling but that may be due to its texture. However, I've been using this product for a couple of weeks and I don't agree with it claiming that it brightens dark circles or tightens the skin and it doesn't leave them looking radiant. I feel as if it's a good product to use when you've had irritant eyes or an allergic reaction, or even if they feel sore, but it's not one I'd use to brighten the eyes or be rid of dark circles.

It currently retails at £14.99 which is surprising for what it is, but I suppose it's due to its natural ingredients of aloe vera, green tea and cucumber. It doesn't have a particular scent which is good for those with a sensitive nose. This is mainly aimed at those with sensitive skin, but I think it could be used by all skin types as it's a very light-weight gel. My step-mum has also given me a moisturiser from the same brand, so we'll see how that goes! I find this a bit of a 'meh, it's ok' product.
