The Video | January Favourites

The fact that January has already come and gone is so scary, I really don't like how quick this year is going already, I feel like its barely even started - I'm only on page 5 of my 2014 diary! However, with a month gone comes the favourites during that month and I only have a select few. One of my 2014 goals was to save money and I have been doing so, especially as I'm going to DisneyLand Paris in 2 weeks which means I need money to buy as much merchandise as possible. So, what were the select few you ask..

Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Eyeliner - Cheap and cheerful at £2.99, where can you go wrong? This has become a staple within my makeup routine and had replaced my beloved choice of white eyeliner, shocker I know. This eyeliner lasts the whole day and makes my eyes look brighter and awake -  which I need. I can't really tell if this is waterproof or not, I haven't really taken note but, it's not difficult to remove which can be annoying with waterproof formulas.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in 'Black Cherry' - Nothing could part me from this lipstick, it is so gorgeous. 'Black Cherry' is a dark, plum/berry colour which is perfect for the current season. It's very moisturizing for a lipstick and leaves a slight shine on the finish, which is great if you're sporting dry lips at the moment. The lasting power is pretty good and last for a couple of hours, I'd 3-4 but it does leave a sort of lip stain, so you don't feel like you have to re-apply immediately. For £7.49 it's a bargain, however, I'm not a fan of the packaging, it does give off a cheapness and I don't like that it's see-through at the top, but otherwise, it's definitely been a favourite!

L'oreal False Lash Flutter Mascara - I've already done a review of this mascara (HERE), so I won't go in to too much detail. I love the packaging it's so funky, can't believe I used that word, it makes my non-existent lashes look beautiful with just one coat let alone two. It leaves your lashes looking longer, volumised and ultra fluttery, but at £10.99 it's one of the most expensive drugstore mascaras out there, but worth it.

L'oreal Studio Line #TXT Volume Supersizing Spray - I've also done a review on this one too (HERE), just goes to show how much I love these products, so, won't ramble too much. But, having long hair can be difficult to work with, but it doesn't mean I'm going to go and chop it off, therefore, we need to work with what we've got. L'oreal have done wonders with this product, it does what it says on the tin. When applied it instantly volumises my hair and makes it 10x the size it was before and at only £3.79 it's a bargain. It's usually out of stock on the Boots website, so I would get your hands on it quick.

Breaking Bad - Netflix is the best investment ever. Two weeks of January was just filled with 'Breaking Bad' viewing, I managed to watch the whole series, 1-5, in 14 days which I think is quite impressive! I wouldn't have thought that I'd like it but I really loved it and I can't believe it's over and the ending tied all the lose ends and  was just like 'whhaaaaat, you can't leave it like that'. My favourite character is definitely Jessie, I think I could marry him to be honest. The storyline was brilliant, it all just flowed together and made sense, plus it kept you wanting to watch the next episode one after the other which makes it addicting. I highly recommend it and it's all on Netflix, so you could grab yourself the 30 day free trial (unless you are a member) and watch it!

Tangled - I can't believe I actually like a current Disney film, I always, always pick the old ones over the new ones, but I am so in love with 'Tangled'. I found it so funny and I'm in love with the songs, so much that I've bought some on itunes. I am a massive Disney fan and you should know this by now, I'm going to Disneyland Paris in two weeks and I'm hoping Rapunzel is going to be there or at least some sort of merchandise which will give me that extra step in to becoming her or looking like her.

'I Heart..' Book Series by Lindsey Kelk - I finally wrapped up this book series in January and I miss it so much. I was so attached to the storyline, the characters, everything about it! It's a sort of chick lit read which I'm not usually in to, but I was so engulfed in the whole thing, I would be sat with my kindle for hours obsessed with the whole thing. Lindsey Kelk is also super nice, I've tweeted to her so many times and she's always replied or favourited my tweet, I always feel a bit giddy when that happened. Anway, I highly recommend this series, it's so addicting though, but if you have a kindle the books are really cheap around the £3.99 - £4.99 mark.

So, these were the things that I loved in January and it's time to go head first in to February. I hope things look up for me a bit more, I feel a bit stuck in the rut at the minute, but more on that in a future post I'm sure.
