The Makeup | Tanya Burr Lipgloss in 'Afternoon Tea'

After choosing the nail polish shades in a snap, it was super difficult to choose just one lipgloss from the collection. I'm not a big fan of lipgloss and therefore only chose one, being 'Afternoon Tea'. However, after being obsessed with a Barry M lipgloss and now this one i've become a bit exited about lipglosses and want lots! I've been wearing this lipgloss in my recent videos and will sneakily tell you that this product features in my March favourites!

I really loved the packaging, it's quite simple and will look beautiful amongst my makeup. The names of the lipgloss are so sweet which totally reflects Tanya Burr's personality and 'Afternoon Tea' is one of those cute names. The actual gloss brush is really soft and glides the product on swiftly, it also imparts just the right amount of colour and fits in to the grooves on your lips perfectly. However, when I first applied the gloss I put on too much and had to blot the gloss immensely, this was to my surprise as I didn't think it was going to be so pigmented and thick but that's a positive thing!

I really thought that the formula of the lipgloss was going to be quite thin and that the pigmentation was going to be on the verge of clear with a hint of colour, but I was wrong. The formula is thick and comes out as more of a glossy lipstick, quite similar to the Apocalips laquers. But due to it being a gloss, it means that it's still moisturising, with the glossy shine, but has the pigmentation/colour and thickness of a lipstick. The colour is so vibrant and pretty when it comes out of the tube, which is surprising as it doesn't highlight this on the packaging and there's also a mix of creme and shimmer finishes. Due to the pigmentation you don't need to apply a lipstick over the top and they're incredibly long-lasting!

I highly recommend Tanya Burr's lipgloss collection, as well as the nails but that's a whole separate review (HERE). Now that I've had time to try out the product and review it, its made me want to purchase more, but at £6.99, it's so affordable which means that I'm happy to buy lots, I tend to get mine from FeelUnique
