The Food | Rocky Road..

Throughout this month and the last, Rupert and I have been a tad obsessed with rocky road bites. The other weekend, my family were getting together for a big lunch meal and I suggested that everybody bring a dish of something. I found that this was my chance to give it a go and see how different it would taste to the Co-op version, plus the recipe is super easy...

You will need:
- 2 Medium-sized bars of milk chocolate
- 12 Digestive biscuits (I used less)
- 10 marshmallows
- 150g of Butter
- 4 tbsp Golden Syrup

1. In a pan over a low heat, gently melt the butter and the chocolate, with the golden syrup. When this is done, cool the mixture whilst doing the next step. 

2. Cut the marshmallows in half, which can get very sticky! Also, crush/break the biscuits in to pieces, but not so they're crumbly crumbs.. It says twelve, but I ended up using about eight. 

3. Add the marshmallows and biscuits in to the chocolate mixture and stir well, so they're all combined together. 

4. Tip the mixture in to a lightly buttered, shallow-square tin. Leave it to cool and set in the fridge for about 2-3 hours. Once this is done, cut the rocky road in to chunky squares and pop the kettle on.
