The Makeup | Spring Clean...

When it comes to the transition of your makeup look from Winter to Spring, I find that I go through a big change. I don't wear as much and go off the heavy-eye look and create a much more natural look. Following up with the SS14 catwalk makeup looks, I wanted to take a look at the sort of thing that they were going for. It was very apparent that they also were going for the natural look, where models were sporting a fresh-faced look. I think the idea is for barely-there makeup, untamed brows and undone hair to offer a totally effortless look, yet still beautiful.

To create this look, contouring is key; dab highlighter on your brown and cheekbone for an inner 'glow' that'll make you look like you've just stepped off the runway. I'm currently going through a 'highlighter' phase, where I just want to buy as many as possible and I love them all.

Let the brows grow, but if you want to be truly effortless then just keep them in check by slicking on some clear mascara or brow gel, which was what Alexander Wang, Giles and Acne were opting for on the catwalk. However, if you're like me and are obsessed with brows do your usual routine, but be very light-handed and make your eyebrow look/shape natural.
