The Nails | Top Five Summer Polishes

I love painting my nails, I remember I had a job where they wouldn't let me wear nail varnish and I was mortified, needless to say, I quit after a few months in. I'm not really one for nail art, I don't have the patience to sit down and get all crafty and delicate. However, I do have a vast selection of nail polishes and I've picked the top five of them to share with you guys today. I do love a good red and Essie's 'Russian Roulette' is perfect. It is a classic bright red with orange undertones, almost appearing as pink as a first coat, however add another and you've got your red. As you should know, the brush is great and so easy, plus the formula is beautiful and long-lasting. If I'm not feeling a red, then a bright blue is on the cards, for example Nails Inc 'Baker Street', a bright cobalt blue. This leaves a glossy finish and if you're in a rush one coat is enough, as the colour is so vibrant! Apparently, once Beyonce gave birth to Blue, she sported this polish, it's a must-have. One of my favourite shades to wear is an orange, particularly Essie 'Fear or Desire', a bright orange with a cream finish. This only needs two coats for the colour to come through and when I wear this during the summer with a tan, it really highlights how bronzed I am. Last of all, who doesn't love Topshop 'Green Room', this could be worn through all the seasons being a bright turquoise shade. I do find that this needs a couple of coats for it to come through, but once settled the colour is so beautiful and you won't be able to help looking at your hands. Do you think I'm missing a special shade from my top five.. i'm happy to add more!

  1. OMG I love these delicious colors!

  2. Lovely polishes! I've just wrote a review about the latest nail varnishes which I bought too! I'm loving baby blue polish this summer.
