The Book | Flavia De Luce 1-6

If you watch my videos then you'll already know how much I am in love with this book series by Alan Bradley. Whilst on holiday in Croatia, I managed to read five books, which is just bliss! It also meant that I finished the Flavia De Luce book series which broke my heart.. not that I'm being dramatic. I don't want to say too much about the book series, as I don't want to ruin it for you, I will be brief in my description. It's set in a rural part of England in the 1950's, the protagonist is an eleven-year-old girl who is obsessed with chemistry. Within, the different books she, aka Flavia, solves various murders that are happening in her village. There were one or two of the books that I didn't prefer as much as the others, but overall I did enjoy the story. Even though it's set around an eleven-year-old girl, the writing isn't basic, it's very much an adult-read. It gets your mind working as well, as you're trying to figure out what's happening and who did what etc. I don't want to rattle on too long, but I tend to write my thoughts on books I've read on my Goodreads account, as well as books I've read or want to read. The seventh one doesn't come out until next year and I'm just itching to get it. I really, really enjoyed this book as it contains a good mix of fact and fiction, it has adventure and really grabs your attention. LOVE IT!
