Nothing Beats A Berry Lip

What I love about the colder months is how my makeup look will totally change, no peach or light pinks on the lips and hardly anything there on the eyes. When it's the warmer months, I like to wear as less as I can on the face and rush out in to the sun, not including the fact that sweat is a factor here. So, when it means I have to layer on the clothes, I really enjoy wearing more makeup that normal, whether it's piling on the layers of eyeshadow and wacking out the bolder lip colours. This is where my berry obsession comes in. I think it's the best colour choice for when you want to be that bit more daring, it matches and flatters all complexions, plus makes your teeth look whiter which is a blessing for us coffee drinkers. I have three berry lip colours here which are my top ones that are regularly picked over the others. Ignore the fact that my camera has made my lips look pink and not berry!

Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Moss Matte Lipstick in 107 - One that is loved by all and a popular one at that. Why this is one that will constantly be picked up by me is because of the colour. It isn't too dark that it'll look black on my lips, it's got a slight reddish tone making it very much a berry rather than a purple. The finish is definitely matte with a slight sheen which means that it lasts for ages. It doesn't smudge or end up on your teeth/cheek, it sticks to the lips and will forever be a classic.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in 'Black Cherry' - This one is definitely the darkest out of the three, however due to the formula containing Vitamin E and Avocado oil it conditions the lips and ensures no tackiness leaving it very hydrating and glossy. If I don't want this to be too heavy then I will blot it on to the lips and smudge it in for a 'I've been drinking red wine' look or if I want to go the full hog then I'll just glide it al over for a proper 'I've dipped my lips in some blackberry juice' look. To make sure it doesn't drain your face, then add a slight rose to the cheeks, no bronzer, as well as lashings of mascara.

Topshop Lipstick in 'Beguiled' - A proper wine colour here which sits between the Revlon and Rimmel options. There's definitely more of a red than a purple within the formula, but it's so soft and smooth when applying to the lips. Not to mention a bargain when it comes to the price, I wouldn't say that its longevity is as good as the other two, however, due to its pretty packaging, I don't think I'd mind getting this one out and re-applying in public!
