The Makeup | Daily Face #3

The makeup has definitely changed since my last 'daily face' (HERE) and I'm featuring a few new purchases which I'm giving a go, with full reviews to come soon. As you can see above, there is a looot of products, however, don't fret because I've actually been sporting more no-makeup-days than makeup days, so my skin does breath!

Gracing the face to prepare the canvas is the Benefit Porefessional primer, which as you know I love greatly, it does a perfect job for keeping everything matte and oil at bay. To create a flawless base, I am trying out the Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation in 'Soft Beige', it states to last 25 hours! Now, I don't know when I'll be wearing it for that long, but my thoughts so far is that it is long-lasting and provides a medium-full coverage, with a slight dewy finish. When covering the blemishes, I've been turning to the NARS Creamy Concealer in 'Custard', very blendable and rather dreamy. For under the eyes, I'm still choosing the Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer in 'Ivory' as it's very light on the skin, yet brightening. Finishing off the base with the Rimmel Stay Matte powder and moving on to the eyes.

I am trying out a new brow product, after brushing them with a spoolie, I use the Dolly Wink Eyebrow Pencil in 'Dark Chocolate'. This leaves the brows looking very natural, great that it has a spoolie on the end and is very easy to use. The eyes are quite simple at the moment, I'm sure I'll be layering the eyes as the colder months come, but for now I've been using my Urban Decay NAKED Palette and just use the shade 'Half-Baked' all over the lid and on the lower lash line. Lining the eyes with some Rimmel Kohl Kajal Eyeliner in 'White' and layering the lashes with the They're Real Benefit Mascara

To finish off the makeup look, I add a bit of colour to the cheeks using the SLEEK Blush-By-Three palette in 'Lace' and only use the shade 'Crochet' for a nice peach on the cheeks. Afterwards, I use a new addition to the makeup bag which is the Soap & Glory Solar Powder Bronzer, which I may just be totally in love with. Last but not least, it wouldn't be complete without a little somethin', somethin' on the lips - my current fave is the Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Lip Shine in 'Nudist'. P.S. Pinch, punch, first day of the month....*chuckles to self*

  1. I've been using that Rimmel foundation recently and I really like it, I think they always get it spot on with their foundations :) I really want to try the wake me up concealer, I'm always hearing such good things about it.
