The Review | Simply Spoiled Beauty

I was gifted some really lovely beauty products by the company Simply Spoiled Beauty, they kindly sent me a Makeup Beauty Sponge Blender*, two Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencils* and a Glitter Colourful Mascara*. Now that I've finally been able to try out everything I thought I'd let you know my thoughts on each item, just remember that these are my honest opinions and the company haven't told me to say anything at all.

Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencils - I have the colours 'Bronze' and 'Silver', my favourite is definitely the bronze shade. At first, I was a bit hesitant to try it as it looked really glittery, but when by itself it doesn't show as much, so was great as a daily eyeshadow. However, I find that when applied above a cream eyeshadow of the same colour, it brings the glitter out more and therefore perfect for this festive season. The silver shade is perfect for your inner corner when you want to do something a little different, I like to put this on by itself as the glitter and pigmentation is stronger I think. All in all, I love the pencils, they're so easy to use, with no-fuss packaging and they have a great range of colours to choose from.

Beauty Sponge Blender - I couldn't believe how easy this was to use, I liked to dab this in to my concealer on the back of my hand and apply it under the eyes. The sponge is so soft and gentle on the skin, making the application really smooth and leaves your concealer looking really natural and flawless. I haven't used this with foundation as I'm taking a break from it, but I can say that it's perfect to use with concealer, due to it being small and handy to use. Due to its shape it can really hit targets which you find hard to blend with your fingers or a brush, so I highly recommend!

Glitter Colourful Mascara - I have to say I didn't get on with this product. I am in love with the packaging, I think the cat face is really sweet and pretty slick with the black colouring, I also like how it tells you what colour you have by looking at it (mine's gold). However, when applying the mascara the glitter irritated my eyes and whenever I looked up I could only see the glitter. I found that it took a couple of layers for the mascara to take full effect and actually go on my lashes. I'm not sure if it might have been my eyes/lashes that were an issue, but I'm not a fan of this product unfortunatley, as I think the idea is really nice.

They did really kindly send me a coupon code for your guys to use, but due to the fact that I've been so busy and haven't managed to post this, it might not be working anymore. I'll check and if it does work, I'll enter it in later. I think you should head over to their website as their concealer and contour palette looks amazing!

  1. I've really been getting into shimmery bronze shades recently and these look lovely! May have to give them a try in the new year :)

  2. That packaging is absolutely adorable! :) And in the picture did you use any of the glitter pencils on your waterline? I think if it wouldn't irritate your eyes, the silver would look really good there!
