Quote Tuesday | 05

I had a bit of a meltdown two weeks ago, about where my life was going and what I was doing. I couldn't help but think that the way I had "planned" my life when I was younger, had completely gone out the window. I suppose I sort of resent the fact that the education system forces kids nowadays to decide what they want to do for the rest of their lives so young. Just because it might not go the way they planned and then they'll think they can't do anything. By, "they" I also mean, me. Since I was a little girl, my dream was to become an actress and as I worked towards fulfilling that I had obstacles in the way, which I attempted to jump over, but they kept getting stronger. This left me thinking that I couldn't do anything else, that I had no other talent, therefore I was stuffed. But, I was so wrong. Unfortunately, it has taken other people and a slow realisation from myself to realise that I can do other things and that it doesn't mean I have to stop trying to achieve my dream, but try a different way of getting it.

When I was miserable and crying two weeks ago, I really didn't think that my future was bright. I couldn't see things looking up for me and I was trying to deal with several problems all at once, instead of breaking them down and seeing the bigger picture. I now feel reassured that, I'm only 19 and I still have so much time ahead of me, that I need to stress and worry less, because everything will work out. I had to make myself see that just because my current situations are bad, it didn't mean that my future was going to be. I needed to deal with the problems that were getting in the way of my future being great, rather than being miserable and thinking I couldn't do it. When I saw this quote, I immediately made it my iPhone background, so I can look at it everyday and remind myself that my life is and will get better, I have to believe it and it'll happen. My future is bright and so is yours.
