Blogging Day Essentials

I don't think I've ever shared with you what I need when I'm setting myself up for a day of blogging. I thought I'd let you in on some essentials that I ensure I have when I'm writing, taking pictures and what not! So, here they are:

Canon 1100d & 40mm lens: My camera isn't the most flash or recent models, but with the lens, they are a dream team and they do me well. Although I would like to upgrade, it's not something I can afford at the moment. The pictures that they take are still high quality and this is also the camera that I use to film my videos. Rupert always tells me that it's not necessarily all about the camera but the magic is the lens.

MacBook Pro: I have no idea how I managed to survive without this before, my old laptop took ages to process anything and so this is just dreamy. I do need to get myself an external hard drive as I worry I'll lose everything. I love my laptop and I do take it most places with me, it doesn't lag just yet and holds all of the necessary apps I need.

PicMonkey: I'm not one for Photoshop or Lightroom or anything like that, I just want something simple and easy to use. PicMonkey is my answer to that, I use this to edit all my images on. It's great for cropping, changing the exposure, effects - anything like that. I always get the desired effect I want and it has a variety of options that you can choose from.

Blogger: This one is a given as it's the platform that I use to blog from. I love how easy it is to use, even if you have basic HTML knowledge you can really transform the way something looks on your page. I like how you can schedule posts, go back to drafts, see your analytics and all that jazz.

Moleskine Diary: I have a beautiful red diary and I love it. I do love my calendar that you can get on the laptop and on your phone as they're linked up. But, having a physical diary is something I just need. I like to write everything down to make sure I'm on track with my life basically, which means I also keep pens nearby.

iPhone 5s: Got to keep up to date with all my social media accounts. I do try and refrain from constantly checking whilst I'm working, but I do need it for any incoming calls or text messages that may need quick responses to!

Netflix: Now, I prefer playing a film or programme in the background whilst i'm working rather than music. I like hearing the voices and the background noise is comforting to me. I don't tend to get distracted if it's something I've seen before, but I could never put on something that's new, in fear I will get sucked in and the day is gone.

What are your workday essentials?
