Sisley Phyto-Teint Expert Foundation Review

There has only been one foundation that I've been gracing for at least three weeks or more - that is dedication on my part I feel. The foundation I'm talking about is the Sisley Phyto-Teint Expert Foundaton*, this is most definitely a luxury foundation. Being £79 it will set you back quite a bit, I was lucky enough to be gifted this, however, when I run out, I know I'll be gathering my pennies to purchase it again.

The fluid foundation delivers on all fronts and I've been so impressed, I've never tried anything from Sisley before and therefore, was a bit sceptical being a newbie to the brand. This foundation combines a smoothing, unifying and long-lasting effect for a natural finish. Sisley claims the Phyto-Teint provides radiance, optimal coverage and masks imperfections. I have to agree that it hides imperfections well with its light-medium coverage, using its ultra-pure pigments, perfecting and soft-focus powders. It's oil-free, non-comedogenic, suitable for all skin types and doesn't emphasise any existing blackheads or pores on the skin. The formula contains rich in active ingredients, such as Cucumber, Frangipani blossom and Gingko biloba. These ingredients soften, moisturise and enhance the skin daily, as well as making my skin feel comfortable underneath - I don't think it's heavy at all.

I apply one pump to the back of my hand and then dot it on different areas around my face using my finger, it's such a nice texture to apply and therefore easy. I then use a brush to spread it over the whole face, building it up with any I have left on my hand. I tend to concentrate on the centre of my face as this is where it needs the most coverage, but make sure to blend in to the hair line and neck. Sisley actually recommends to use your fingers, I haven't tried this out yet but I might give it a go. It states that you'll have a perfect complexion for 12 hours, I've worn it from 6:15am till 7:30pm and it's lasted extremely well for that time. It doesn't budge at all, I do find that I need to blot my face if I've been rushing around in London - walking and on the tube, but other than that it's amazing. This is definitely healthy skin in a bottle, leaving you with an even, smooth and natural complexion. I love that it moisturises the skin and makes it look radiant without looking like a disco ball.
