The Fashion Inspiration | Linda Rodin

Last month it was all about Scandi Style, I'm always buying items which are influenced by that, but recently the woman who has caught my eye on the fashion radar is Linda Rodin. Let me tell you a bit about her, she's currently in her sixties and is, to me, the definition of elegance. When she was eighteen she moved to Italy to study, this was during the time of Mod Sixties, when Linda Rodin wowed everybody with her Twiggy eyelashes, over-the-knee boots, maxi coat, and five-inch skirt with her modelling jobs and general life. In the Seventies she returned to New York and ran a successful boutiques. She had several jobs as a stylist and then as a fashion editor at Harper's Bazaar. Eventually she became a freelance stylist and is acknowledged as one of the best in the business. Linda Rodin has dressed many women across the world; Madonna, Halle Berry and supermodel Gisele.

After experimenting with essential oils in her bathroom for two years, Linda Rodin put the finishing touches on her first dream elixir, the original RODIN oilio lusso face oil in 2007. This is sold worldwide and the brand is growing as we speak with a body oil, a hair oil and more. Now that you know a lot more about her, I cam across her style in a magazine and just fell in love. You can see that she's very inspired by the Italian fashion sense, with lots of class and elegance. This is what Linda says about her style in a previous interview with Matches Fashion, "I have no idea how to describe my style. I’m not frilly and I don’t dress to get attention – I’m not going to walk around in a green hat with a purple coat. At my age I don’t do sleeveless any more and I wouldn’t wear a short skirt without black tights. But otherwise my style is whatever takes my fancy". I love it, I hope that I can dress like this when I'm in my sixties and look as good as Rodin does!
