Eyeshadow Stick Obsessed

I am all about doing my makeup quickly, but still looking as if I've spent a long time doing it, yet still having an effortless finish - not much to ask for right? So, a new big favourite of mine are eyeshadow sticks or an application that doesn't involve major multiple brush situations. It started with my new love, the By Terry Ombre Blackstars and then it reminded me of the drugstore alternatives that I already had stashed in my collection. I now have the longest wish list of shadow sticks from various brands.

There are quite a few reasons as to why I've become obsessed with these eyeshadow stick wonders, one being: lack of time. I love sleeping and as I've been travelling in to London everyday, I already have to wake up super early to make sure I leave on time. If I want my makeup to be spot on, I don't have the time to apply five different eyeshadows and blend them to a high standard. These are a gem, only one swipe a quick blend and voila!

Another reason that I love them for is how long-lasting they are, there's just something in the formulas of the ones I've tried that make them last ages! They don't crease and I don't need to re-apply ever, great for that little lazy smidgen within me.

Lastly, they are perfect to take travelling with you. As they're in stick form, you know they're not going to break or the powder isn't going to explode everywhere in your makeup bag. No need for palettes or quads or even any brushes!

The way I like to apply these is by blending a sheer wash of colour from the lash line upwards, repeat a few times and then finish off by blending it, so it doesn't look too harsh or slap-dash. It looks as if you're wearing more than one colour as it has a gradient effect towards the crease, making this fuss-free and just so damn easy.

My current loves: By Terry Ombre Blackstar in 'Misty Rock', Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeshadow Paint in 'Rich Russet' and Bourjois Eyeshadow Pencil in 'Vintage Blush'.
