Essie Cocktail Bling...

I haven't been wearing nail polish that much recently, when I have I've been getting quick manicures at a nail salon and then forget to snap a picture. I just haven't been bothered about doing my nails, sometimes I find it quite relaxing, but at the moment i've been finding it a bit of a chore. I also hate that after an hour of painting them, I'll do the washing up or flick through a magazine and it'll be chipped. However, after spotting various youtubers with polish on and me wanting to give it a go, it's all about Essie Cocktail Bling...

I've had this for quite a while and go through a love afair where I'll constantly repaint it, which is a record for me as when I see a few chips, I'll give in and just take off the whole lot. It appears as a dusky blue in the bottle, but it's more of a pale grey with a hint of muted blue thrown in. I think why I like it so much is because it's grey, but it has a blue tone in it which makes it less boring. The formula is great as usual, with two coats dishing out the exact amount of opaqueness and doesn't last too badly, but could be better. I believe it lasts about four-five days before I need to give them some attention again. If you're part of the monochrome crew, but want a splash of muted colour on the nails, this will hit you up!

  1. I love Essie nail polishes, and I seem to only have bright colors so I'll have to check that color out! I'm in the same boat, I paint them then immediately manage to smudge or chip them.
